"Marananussathi Meditation"

While the uncertainty rules, there is one thing certain, it's death. Death is a function of time, karma and other unavoidable circumstances. The death could be resulted in four ways, The Lord Gauthama Buddha Preached. Ayukshaya, Karmakshaya, Ubayakshaya & Upachchedaka are four of them.

Death could be happened at the lifespan ends, it's Ayukshaya death. An avoidable karma causes Karmakshaya death. Both causes, Ayukshaya and karmakshaya cause for Ubayakshaya death and an external environmental factor may caused for Upachchedaka death. For instance, imagine an oil lamp lit with a cotton wool and oil and Ayukshaya death is similar to the event of the flames blown away at the end of cotton wool. Karmakshaya death could be defined by the incident of flames of the oil lamp blown away at the end of oil. The flames could be blown away at the end of both cotton wool and the oil and this is the Ubayakshaya death and finally the flames could be blown away due to an external factor like rain or wind, it's termed Upachchedaka death.

Death is a certain event for those rich or poor, beautiful or ugly, intelligent or foolish and white or black. Marananussathi meditation guides to be mindful about death that could happen anytime. Broadly speaking the death could be happen even between the time of an inhale and exhale. The daily sunset is an indicator for us which let us believe we are a day closer to death. The practising this noble consciousness about death compassionates and tranquil the mind enhance the wisdom. TBC...

I'm a little curious about the Marananussathi Meditation now..is it the kind that can be said by a person who's dying or should it be done by someone who's alive and well while thinking about death and passing? Do you also have a translation for the Pali words somewhere? Thank you very much.
